Low tops sport no match covers with Deng’s unique watercolor materials. colors and graphics. the individual details depicting six regional dishes from six Chinese cities. They’re joined by other kitchen-inspired trim. including a woodgrain Swoosh that nods to chopsticks. a blue-tinted insole depicting porcelain bowls. and a copper toe cap that stands in for chili oil. boiling. On each heel tab. the word “food” is written in embroidered Chinese calligraphy.
